Abbey Brophy is an English Language Arts teacher at U-32 Middle and High School in Montpelier, Vermont. She grew up in a suburban setting in Canton, CT and then completed her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT. As a high school student, Abbey participated in the Summer Nexus program through Leadership Greater Hartford, which greatly impacted her and inspired her to continue building relationships with people from other communities. This program influenced her college career, as well as her first few years of teaching. She is determined to expose students to diverse experiences and perspectives, which is why she is so excited to be participating in MAPS!
